This tour will take you to the past, in the Middle Ages, with its sounds, smell, food, activities and many other things.

You can stay in a beautiful and charming 4 or 5 star Resort/ Mansion in Assisi and you can spend 3 or 9 days around the most beautiful cities of Umbria.

You can enjoy local food, and you have the opportunity to learn how to prepare these dishes during your Italian cooking lessons.

Some of the tours that we propose are available all year round, but some events take place just once a year and are really special and not to be missed!

We suggest a 9 day programme with 2 weekends between the 19th and the 28th of June 2009, when The Market of Gaite takes place.

During these days the small village of Bevagna is enchanted as during the Middle Ages. No lights, no mobile phone, no computers, but above all no stress; just candles, fire, instrumental music, organic food relaxation and happiness.

Bevagna proposes the same intense atmosphere of the handcraft activities with noises and gestures forgotten by our times. In the small shop of “canapai” potters, dyers and strikers; capable handicraft maestro makes exclusive objects using the arts and techniques of the Middle age.

The main square, in all its splendid essentialness, is the appropriate scenario for the Market of the Gaite and is the corner of the most representative moments like the opening and closing ceremony, as well as the competition between districts; on this stage, the modern Bevagna unifies itself with the medieval Bavagna, and its inhabitants abandon their everyday clothes for materials and fabrics of nobles and farmers, lawyers and handicraftsmen bringing back to life the traditional activities of their ancestors.
